2‐Hydroxyethyl methacrylate copolymers with styrene and series of the cross‐linkers (divinylbenzene and mono‐, di‐ and triethylene glycol dimethacrylates) with low cross‐linking degree (2–5 mol %) were obtained by suspension polymerization. Loading capacity of the resins, their glass transition temperature, and swelling characteristics in 20 solvents were analyzed depending on monomers composition. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
