New method of synthesis of polyetherols with purine ring by reaction of propylene carbonate with uric acid is presented. The influence of kind of catalyst, and molar ratio of substrates on structure, and physical properties of polyetherols; density, viscosity, surface tension, and refractive index were determined. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
