A number of resin copolymers have been prepared by condensing some substituted acetophenones with chloro‐substituted anilines, benzoic acids, and formaldehyde. The reactivity ratios of the monomers have been computed by using the Kelen–Tüdos equation. The results have been discussed taking into account the inductive, resonance, and steric effects of the substituents.
