Glass transition temperatures ( T g ) were obtained vs. isothermal temperature ( T cure ) and time of cure for a polyamic acid/polyimide system. A time–temperature–transformation (TTT) isothermal cure diagram was constructed to include the time to vitrification and iso‐ T g curves. As for expoxies, the relationship between T cure and the time to vitrification is S‐shaped. Plots of T g vs. T cure show that solvent evaporation and chemical reaction are controlled by vitrification.
