Luminescence properties of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) films were investigated at room and low (103 K) temperatures. It was estimated that the PVA films can be regarded as luminescentless matrices when excited by radiation of wavelengths greater than 420 nm (λ exc ≥ 420 nm).
