Poly(methyl methacrylate) containing a small amount of pendant 2,2,6,6‐tetramethylpiperidinyl group was found to be miscible with poly(styrene‐co‐acrylonitrile) and with poly(α‐methyl styrene‐co‐acrylonitrile). The poly(α‐methyl styrene‐co‐acrylonitrile) blends exhibited lower critical solution temperatures. Phase separation of the poly(styrene‐co‐acrylonitrile) blends could not be induced by heating up to 270°C.
