The effect of a selective organophosphours extractant on the structure and properties of crosslinked polymers was studied. The extractant, incorporated in the polymerization mixture, affected the formation of the polymer. The uranium capacity of the resin was directly proportional to the amount of extractant. The use of scanning electron microscopy showed that the polymers are macroporous and that the porosity depends on the amounts of extractant and crosslinking agent.
