Mechanical properties of fabricated poly‐ p ‐phenylene (PB) parts are compared to those of commerical polyimide. PB showed excellent retention of strength and stiffness at high temperature. Results of environmental exposure and properties of some PB composites are included. In general, PB parts have properties between those of commercial polyimide and carbon graphite.
