The interfacial polymerization technique was used in the preparation of organotion polyesters. Dialkyltin dihalides dissolved in an organic solvent immiscible with water were reacted with the dialkali metal or ammonium salt of a dicarboxylic acid. High yields of polyesters were obtained after short reaction times. The polyesters were generally insoluble and were high melting. Copolymers were also obtained.
