Polystyrene (PS) was a solution blended with poly‐ n ‐butyl methacrylate (PnBMA) at different compositions and the interactions between the two polymers were studied by using viscometry, ultrasound studies, and mechanical properties. All the properties show a characteristic variation in three stages. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci 83: 2322–2330, 2002
