Experiments on the co‐combustion of municipal solid waste (MSW) and coal were performed in a 0.2 MWth circulating fluidized bed and focused on the emissions of NO, N 2 O, HCl and SO 2 . The results show that the addition of MSW leads to lower NO, N 2 O, and SO 2 emissions. However, hydrogen chloride concentrations increase with the amount of waste added. A feedforward neural network model was proposed to predict the variation of NO emission with the mixture composition.
