The equilibrium solubility of gypsum (and calcium sulfate hemihydrate) in phosphoric‐sulfuric acid mixtures, similar to those used in practice in industrial wet phosphoric acid manufacture, was determined. The experimental data from this work and literature data were combined to develop solubility correlation equations for both calcium sulfate hydrate species over a full range of industrial conditions.
