Experiments were conducted to examine the effect of orthogonal magnetic fields upon the kinetics of potassium permanganate electrochemical reactions. Magnetic field strengths of up to 15 kGauss were applied to a thin cell, with electrodes connected to a constant voltage source. The results indicated that the presence of a magnetic field accelerated the global reaction kinetics.
