Two series of trialkyltin carboxylates containing butyl and cyclohexyl groups on tin, Bu n Cy 3‐ n SnO 2 CR (n = 1, 2; R = n‐Pr, Ph, 4‐CIC 6 H 4 , 4‐NO 2 C 6 H 4 ) have been synthesized and their structures characterized by IR, and 119 Sn and 13 C NMR spectroscopies. The compounds are five‐coordinate, carboxylate‐bridged polymers when R = n‐Pr, while the other aromatic carboxylates are four coordinate. The compounds were also tested for their fungicidal, insecticidal and acaricidal activities.
