The nitrate anion coordinates to the SnCH 2 Sn unit of the title phosphonium stannate, [Ph 4 P] + [(Ph 2 ClSn) 2 CH 2 ·NO 3 ] − , to give a six‐membered ring having the penta‐coordinated tin atoms in a trigonal bipyramidal geometry. Copyright © 2003 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
