An ‘S’ conformation, stabilized by intramolecular CH···π interactions, is found in centrosymmetric p ‐(Cl 2 PhSnCH 2 CH 2 ) 2 C 6 H 4 . The dinuclear species features distorted tetrahedral tin centres, with the greatest distortion manifested in the CSnC angle of 134.32(16) °. Copyright © 2002 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
