A series of pyridylbenzamidine ligands were applied in palladium‐catalyzed Suzuki–Miyaura reactions and the effect of ligand on catalytic properties was evaluated. Under the optimization conditions, the bulky and electron‐donating nitrogen donor ligands were successfully used to catalyze the reaction of a variety of aryl bromides and aryl chlorides with arylboronic acid, giving the desired products in moderate to high yields.
