An air‐stable and highly efficient PdCl 2 –Dppc + PF 6 − –[bmim][PF 6 ] catalytic system has been developed for the Suzuki coupling reaction of various aryl bromides with phenylboronic acid. The catalytic system can be recycled at least 10 times with minimal loss of activity. Copyright © 2006 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
