Gas‐Phase Chemistry The fleeting existence of [V 2 O] + as a reactive intermediate in the oxidation of [V 2 ] + by CO 2 is described by J. Li, H. Schwarz et al. in their Communication on page 12308. The counterintuitive oxidation behavior of [V 2 ] + can be traced back to the supportive role of the bridging oxygen atom in [V 2 O] + .
