Periodate Boron‐doped diamond anodes enable the direct electrochemical synthesis of periodate from iodide, as reported by S. R. Waldvogel et al. in their Communication on page 8036. This periodate can then be used for the cost‐efficient synthesis of regulated products, such as active pharmaceutical ingredients.
