Biological water regulates the structure, dynamics, and function of the building blocks of life, which evolved in a hydrated environment. In their Research Article on page 7089, S. K. Kwak, T. H. Yoo, O.‐H. Kwon, and co‐workers present the development of an experimental method for measuring the hydrogen‐bond free energy of biological water, which is the foundation of hydration, based on conventional time‐resolved fluorescence spectroscopy and protein engineering.
