An activatable polymeric reporter (P‐Dex) was designed to turn on near‐infrared fluorescence and photoacoustic signals in response to a biomarker (uPA) for in vivo imaging of invasive breast cancers, as reported by Q. Miao, K. Pu et al. in their Research Article on page 7018. P‐Dex not only has a high sensitivity and specificity towards the cancer biomarker but also undergoes renal clearance in living mice.
