A cross‐hydroalkenylation/rearrangement cascade (HARC) with cyclopropenes and alkynes as substrates was achieved by using NHC‐Ni compounds as catalysts. As reported by C.‐Y. Ho and J.‐Q. Huang in their Communication on page 5702 ff., this provides a new green pathway to access functionalized cyclopentadienes from a broad range of cyclopropenes and alkynes under mild conditions. The catalysts “grabs” the cyclopropene first, and chemoselective alkyne insertion and rearrangement follow.
