The first example of transition‐metal‐free CO 2 hydrogenation to formate catalyzed by BCF/M 2 CO 3 was reported with a TON of up to 3941. In their Communication on page 722 ff., X. B. Hu, Y. T. Wu, and co‐workers show mechanistic studies that revealed that BCF reacted with K 2 CO 3 to afford the Lewis pair K 2 [(BCF) 2 ‐CO 3 ], which can react with H 2 and CO 2 to produce formate.
