Examination of adenosine methylation in RNA by using deoxyribozymes. In their Communication on page 15117 ff., C. Höbartner and co‐workers report new RNA‐cleaving DNA enzymes that examine specific adenosines in RNA for the presence of a methyl group at the exocyclic N 6 ‐amino group. The DNA enzymes detect m 6 A, one of the most widespread natural RNA modifications; additionally, they precisely cut the RNA and can be used for the analysis of the RNA methylation status.
