Just SO ! The recently published synthesis of the SO 2+ dication is summarized along with the connection to the dications [C 6 Me 6 ] 2+ and [Cp* 2 Fe 2+ ]. The molecular structure of the cation [C 6 Me 6 SO 2+ ] is shown in the figure (gray C, red O, yellow S).
