Ultraselective MFI membranes can be fabricated from nanosheet monolayers. M. Tsapatsis et al. describe in their Communication on page 480 ff. how a uniform and dense MFI nanosheet monolayer at an air–water interface can be successfully transferred onto a porous support by a new monolayer deposition method. Intergrowth of the dense nanosheet seed coating yields a thin, oriented, and low‐defect‐density membrane, which exhibits high selectivity for the separation of xylene isomers.
