Recent developments in catalytic carbonyl–olefin metathesis are summarized in this Highlight. Schindler and co‐workers have reported that the environmentally benign FeCl 3 catalyst promotes ring‐closing carbonyl–olefin metathesis (RCCOM) in high yield under very mild conditions.
