A magnetic microbot travels autonomously in an aqueous medium powered by the catalytic decomposition of H 2 O 2 . In their Communication on page 1521 ff., A. Chattopadhyay and S. K. Sailapu relate how passage of the bot through a Faraday coil generates electricity which can be used for LED illumination. The self‐propelled power‐generating unit is a model for an autonomous bot with secondary function.
