Caught in the act: A series of unique η 1 ‐allyl palladium complexes of four‐membered cyclic systems bearing β‐hydrogens were prepared (see structure). Their unusual structure, reactivity, and unprecedented propensity for undergoing pericyclic reactions were uncovered.
