Cationic pnictogen/carbon cages are formed from reaction of 2,4,6‐tri‐ tert ‐butyl‐1,3,5‐triphosphabenzene with the carbene mimics EX 2 + (E=P, As). For E=P, 1,4‐addition to the hetereoaromatic compound is observed, whereas for E=As, cage complexes are formed.
