A triangular [L 3 Au 3 ] + ion is stabilized by an N‐heterocyclic carbene ligand. In their Communication on page 12077 ff., T. G. Gray, J. P. Sadighi, and co‐workers present the analogy between [L 3 Au 3 ] + and [H 3 ] + . Density functional calculations suggest full valence delocalization among the gold atoms. In the presence of soft Lewis bases, the cluster undergoes two‐electron oxidation to form three equivalents of Au I .
