Successful anchoring of cationic dye molecules (thiazole orange, TO) on Pt‐TiO 2 for a visible‐light‐harvesting assembly was achieved by surface modification of Pt‐TiO 2 with 4‐sulfocalix[4]arene as a linker, leading to formation of surface complexes (see picture). This heterogeneous system can act as an efficient photocatalyst for production of hydrogen in the presence of a sacrificial reagent (TEOA=triethanolamine).
