π ‐Expanded porphyrinoids , in which aromatic units are fused to the porphyrin ring, have become the focus of recent attention. In their Communication on page 9856 ff., D. Kim, A. Osuka, et al. report the formation of a hexaphyrin fused to two anthracenes by an oxidative fusion reaction. Owing to the flat and elongated rectangular conjugated network, this fused hexaphyrin exhibits a remarkably red‐shifted and unusual, sharp Q‐band‐like band at 1467nm.
