M&Ms : The reversible insertion of a platinum complex into coinage group metal–halogen bonds results in a series of unsupported metal‐only Lewis pairs with a Lewis basic platinum(0) fragment and cationic copper, silver, and gold Lewis acids (see scheme; M=Cu, Ag, Au; Cy=cyclohexyl). This is a convenient route to mixed d 10 –d 10 complexes.
