Chemical synthesis with ambient ions : Peptide cross‐linking is achieved nearly instantaneously and quantitatively by delivering solvated peptide cations in microdroplets to a cross‐linker present on a glass surface (see picture) or vice versa. The reaction can be carried out in an open laboratory environment.
