Easy as π: A stable nonaromatic heteroporphyrin bearing a thienopyrrole moiety has been prepared. The nonaromatic nature of this compound is clearly evident based on UV/Vis absorption, 1 H NMR spectroscopy, and theoretical calculations. Single‐crystal X‐ray analysis demonstrates that the molecule adopts a planar conformation with clear alternation in the CC bond lengths around the periphery of the macrocycle.
