Cationic calcium hydride complexes with a [Ca 3 (μ 3 ‐H) 2 ] core were prepared from different organocalcium precursors and Ph 2 SiH 2 . The hydride complexes were found to be active in the catalytic hydrosilylation and hydrogenation of 1,1‐diphenylethene.
