The two faces of curium : The first curium borate has been prepared showing a complex structure with coordination environments for Cm III that are found in both Pu III and Am III borates (see picture). Time‐resolved laser‐induced photoluminescence studies as well as X‐ray diffraction experiments show two distinct Cm III sites with different coordination environments.
