A new door is open! Foldamers have been successfully utilized for the development of a molecular device. Termed foldaxanes by analogy with rotaxanes, these structures are formed through a multitude of noncovalent interactions between double‐helical foldamers and rod‐shaped guest molecules. The foldaxanes move in a screw‐type motion and open up yet another promising application of foldamers in materials science.
