A new coat : LiMn 1− x Fe x PO 4 materials with a LiFePO 4 outer layer of varying thickness and a LiMn 0.85 Fe 0.15 PO 4 bulk were prepared. The physical characteristics such as tap density, porosity, and spherical morphology were fine‐tuned. The double‐structured micron‐sized LiMn 0.85 Fe 0.15 PO 4 /LiFePO 4 material (see picture) shows properties which make this material an ideal candidate for rechargeable lithium batteries.
