Triple‐decker complexes with mixed d/f‐block metals that have a purely inorganic middle deck were unknown. A mixed‐metal iron–samarium complex is presented with a cyclo ‐P 5 polyphosphide between the metal centers (see picture; Sm large black, C small black, Fe blue, N green, O red, P pink). This compound can be obtained as either a monomer or a dimer depending on the reaction conditions.
