Enveloping porphyrin arrays : Supramolecular arrays of self‐assembled tetrakis(4‐sulfonatophenyl)porphyrin (TPPS) molecules have been enveloped with an ultrathin layer of titanium dioxide (see picture; scale bar: 25 nm). Integration of the hybrid components at close‐to‐molecular dimensions preserves optical and chiral properties of J‐aggregate superstructures but also enhances photocatalytic activity of TiO 2 .
