Heterostructured semiconductor matchsticks with Ag 2 S heads and ZnS stems (see TEM image) were synthesized by thermal co‐decomposition of Ag(DDTC) and Zn(DDTC) 2 (DDTC=diethyldithiocarbamate). The heteronanostructures show both UV/blue ( λ ex =280 nm) and near‐infrared ( λ ex =785 nm) photoluminescence.
