Reduced circumstances : A hydrogen bond induced by the Co + ion has been identified theoretically (see picture). It plays a vital role in explaining the mechanistic base of protein‐induced tuning of the Co 2+ /Co + redox process, a common catalytic event in a wide variety of methyltransferases and adenosyltransferases.
