In the absence of transition‐metal catalysts, a Mizoroki–Heck‐type reaction proceeded to give stilbene derivatives in a simple manner using an aryl halide, a styrene derivative, KO t Bu, EtOH, and DMF (see scheme; DMF= N , N ‐dimethylformamide).
