Unprecedented : Atypical of Prussian blue structured materials, Mn II and [NEt 4 ]CN react to form [NEt 4 ] 2 Mn 3 (CN) 8 possessing layers of octahedral [Mn II (CN) 6 ] 4− bonded to two high‐spin tetrahedral Mn II sites (see structure; yellow and red Mn, black C, blue N).
