C‐shell catalysts : Uniform hollow nanoshells of graphitic carbon have been synthesized by phase separation of Ni 3 C nanoparticles (NPs) followed by chemical leaching of the nickel core gave graphite‐shell particles (see picture). Pt NPs anchored onto the shell show high apparent activity for the oxygen reduction reaction.
