Found at last : A simple and efficient one‐pot synthesis procedure leads to several cationic [Pd(1,2,3,7,8‐η 5 ‐octa‐2,7‐dien‐1‐yl)(PR 3 )] + complexes (see structure; Pd pink, O red, P orange), which are the long sought‐after key reactive intermediates in the Pd/PR 3 ‐catalyzed telomerization of butadiene.
