Nobly born : The bowl‐shaped noble metalate [Pd II 7 V V 6 O 24 (OH) 2 ] 6− (Pd 7 V 6 ) comprises seven square‐planar Pd II O 4 units as well as four tetrahedral V V O 4 and two square‐pyramidal V V O 5 addenda units (see picture). The solution stability of Pd 7 V 6 has been demonstrated by 51 V NMR spectroscopy, ESI mass spectrometry, and DFT calculations.
